DESCRIPTION: Custom made, one-of-a-kind Snowhook Padfolios with letterpress printed 5.5: x 8.5" notepad. The Padfolio cases are made from 100% repurposed materials. Made with salvaged exotic book cloth, faux leather and alligator print debossed stocks and high quality book board saved from a large commercial bindery. 
Each padfolio, custom made by the
Turtleman, is different. He combined different colors of book cloth for the
cover and liners and used high quality stocks for the spine wrap and pocket
accents. A (French turned) pocket is on the inside front cover. The lightly
lined pad stock was run through a press 3 times to imprint the printing press
image, the From the desk of line and the 3 happy dogs.The letterpress imprints were run on a 127 year old Golding 'Pearl', treadle driven, 1886 floor model, letterpress. Each sheet individually hand fed into the press. Hand set vintage lead type was used for the Snowhook text.
Each padfolio cover was individually hot foil stamped, Staff and Dawson assisting, using antique lead type and a variety of decorative foils. Some were ‘hit’ twice for what the Turtleman calls "that sweet 'drop-shadow' effect".
